Our Eco-code was designed by the children within the school. The end result is a combination of various ideas from a number of children and then they have been put together by our Eco-Warriors.
Each class has two Eco-Warriors - they have regular meetings and then feed back to their classes on how to help the environment, save energy and encourage everybody to recycle as much as they can.
Over the past 2 years Greenfields has achieved the Bronze Eco-Schools award followed by the Silver Eco-Schools award. The Silver award was presented to the Eco-warriors in November 2015 by Dr Paul Howe, the Bio-diversity officer at Hart Council.
We are now aiming towards achieving our Green Flag award and here is the current team who will help us to achieve this.
So far this year we have planted some new Marginal Plants around the pond that were donated to us by Hart Council – Thank you
Thank you from 1st Arborfield Scouts
Dear staff and students of Greenfields school,
Many thanks for your kind donation of trestle tables from your school to 1st Arborfield Scouts and Cubs groups. Be assured they will continue to lead a useful and exiting life accompanying us on Scout and Cub camps, fund raising events and general arts and crafts sessions. Your school obviously takes it recycling policy seriously and what you can no longer use will be put to good use in the future.
