As you’re aware, this is a particularly exciting year for Greenfields Junior School. It’s now 40 years since the school first opened its doors to children from around Hartley Wintney and the teaching facilities have, very recently, been tastefully extended to accommodate our growing student intake. We hope you’ll be joining us for a tea party to celebrate Greenfields: Forty & Fabulous as we also mark the official opening of our newly extended building on Saturday 18th March from 2-4pm. To confirm the number of adults and children who’ll attend from your family, please email us at

All profits raised from this publication, the 9th edition of Greenfields Junior School Green Pages, will go directly towards initiatives that benefit Greenfields’ children and we thank our supporters for choosing to advertise with us. Our fundraising focus for the autumn term was a new children’s kitchen. Having achieved our monetary target, work on that project will be getting underway shortly.

This term, our fundraising focus has shifted to converting the newly created courtyard into a calm and sensory environment for optimal learning. After school on Friday 10th March, our year 4 families will be hosting a cake sale. By supporting them with generous donations for the sweet treats they’re offering, you’ll be contributing to the courtyard conversion. Our spring disco will take place on Thursday 30th March and will require online pre-payment, so please contact the office if you haven’t already registered for Scopay.

We will shortly be asking for volunteers to lend their artistic and creative talents to support Greenfields’ entry to this year’s village festival parade. Details of other events planned for the summer term will be coming home nearer the time, but for now, please note the date for our annual summer fair - Friday 7th July. Lowdefest is also happening that weekend. If you don’t already have your family ticket, you could win one by entering our competition with TheGivingMachine, details on

The schedule for our remaining spring term events can be found on PTA Social and summer term events will be posted there shortly. If you haven’t already signed up, please do so at: to avoid missing out on key PTFA updates.

The next edition of Green Pages will be circulated in early June, so if you have a product or service that would be of interest to the families of some 270 Greenfields’ children, plus staff, governors and friends, do check out the advertising and application details below. The final date to submit adverts to appear in the summer edition will be Friday 19th May.

With our newly refreshed building and reinvigorated focus on the future, there’s never been a better time to contribute to our school’s journey towards outstanding. That’s why we’re asking all parents to give one hour, at one event, once a year. Either sign up for a simple task at an upcoming fundraiser by visiting PTA Social or if you’d like to share your ideas or play a bigger PTFA role that will help to shape the future of our unique school, let us know at Children really enjoy seeing their parents getting involved in school life through the PTFA and there will always be someone to support you when you join this dynamic team, as we work together for the benefit of all our children.

Thank you for your support.
